Yampa River (Study) - Little Gem Auction

Yampa River - Study, Copyright Keith Bond 2013, 6 x 8 oil (painted 0n location)
I shared this painting with you several months ago when discussing the benefits of doing quick studies - which include capturing only the important elements (the essential elements to me), responding emotionally to the scene, avoiding unnecessary detail, etc. This painting was done as a demo during a workshop last summer in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Until now, this study has not been available for sale. But, I decided to offer it through my Little Gem Auction. It is rough and spontaneous and lacks detail. Yet it captures everything I wanted to say about the scene. It is a delight to look at if you enjoy painterly application. The brush strokes are full of expression. It reveals my thought process more readily than a more polished painting.
Add this little gem to your collection. It is a rare opportunity to own a study like this. I seldom offer them for sale.
Once again, I'm going to do the silent / sealed bid.
Rules:
- You are bidding on the painting UNFRAMED.
- No reserve price. No minimum bid.
