Drying Hay - Little Gem Painting Auction

Drying Hay, © 2013 Keith Bond, 8 x 8 oil on panel

This is the next auction painting.

This studio piece was based upon a plein air study. As soon as I did the study, I knew that I wanted to rework the concept in the studio. The changes made were few and minor, but significant in the expression I wanted. First, I added the drying hay in the foreground. I could tell that hay was recently there, but it had already been baled and removed. The second tweak was punching up the contrast in the backlit cottonwoods just a bit. The rest of the composition and color didn't change much.

The auction will end on Saturday, Nov 2, 2013 at about 8 am - Mountain Daylight Time.

Add this little gem to your collection.

You are bidding for the painting unframed.
