September in the Sneffels Range - Little Gem Painting Auction

September in the Sneffels Range | Copyright 2014 by Keith Bond | 6 x 8 oil

Among my favorite subjects is the rugged peaks of the rocky mountains. This scene was from a photo I took a few years back a day or 2 after an autumn snow storm.

The Sneffels Range is part of the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. Mount Sneffels is a higher peak than this mountain and is hidden from view at this vantage point. I'm not sure of this peak's name.

Nonetheless, this peak is majestic in its rugged beauty!

I did this little study to work out compositional ideas for a larger painting.

How the Auction Works:
- You are bidding on the painting UNFRAMED
- Opening bid is only $100
- Bid increments of $25
- No reserve price - winning bid gets the painting
- just bid in the comments section below

- auction ends Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014

Good luck...I hope you get the painting!

I'll start the bid at $100, knowing that I will not get it at that price, but hoping it doesn't go too high... :-)

I will bid $250. Love the Rockies and hope to also see some aspen paintings of yours!!

I'll bid. $300.

Congrats to Scott, the winning bidder!
