Winter Sunset in the Rockies | Copyright 2016 by Keith Bond | 7 x 7 oil on mounted linen

Despite the cold, there is a peaceful stillness and quietude that settles in as the sun dips behind the mountains.

This little gem was a study in experimentation. I had a lousy reference photograph, so I used memory and imagination to play around with color and values to get the mood I was after.

It was great fun to paint!

Will be auctioned over the next 24 hours - or so.

How the auction works:

• You are bidding on the painting UNFRAMED
• Opening bid is only $100
• Minimum bid increments of $25
• Bid in the 'Comments' section below
• No reserve price - winning bidder gets the painting

....OR...

• Optionally you can 'Buy Now' for $400 - if you don't want to risk someone else outbidding you
• 'Buy Now' option closes the auction
• Otherwise, auction ends Saturday morning (Hawaii time), October 29, 2016

Good luck!

Sold. The auction is now closed.
