I never tire of painting aspens.  Since childhood, they have been my favorite tree.  There is an enchantment about them.  The early afternoon light illuminating the golden foliage beckoned to be painted.  I particularly liked the thick cluster of trees creating a dark mass through which only glimpses of the sunlit background are visible.

I too love aspens. I love how they flutter in the wind. We had some long ago in our back yard, but bores got them. : (

Keith, I just wanted to tell you that you have captured my beloved aspens so well! I lived in Jackson, Wyoming for a time and my best friends sends me aspen leaves every fall. I never tired of seeing them, alongwith cottonwood and lodgepole pines. Great painting!

beautiful painting
