I never tire of painting aspens. Since childhood, they have been my favorite tree. There is an enchantment about them. The early afternoon light illuminating the golden foliage beckoned to be painted. I particularly liked the thick cluster of trees creating a dark mass through which only glimpses of the sunlit background are visible.
This painting was added to the Mountain Oyster Club's permanent collection as part of my becoming an Honorary Artist Member. The club now owns 3 of my paintings.
