It is sometimes difficult to find the time needed to do everything on my list of tasks. One thing that seems to be neglected often is this newsletter. I make a resolution nearly weekly to do better, but something seems to take priority. I always think, "I can do it tomorrow." But as they say, tomorrow never comes.
Things have been busy for me. I have been preparing for several shows. In fact, I am trying to leave in the next hour or so for the New Visions Art Show, in the Santa Clara Town Hall, near St. George, Utah. I am excited about the new paintings that will be part of the show. The Mission Gallery and Authentique Gallery are putting on show.
If anyone wants a quick weekend getaway, I would love to see you there. It is this Friday and Saturday. I'm not sure of the times, but if you contact the galleries, they will certainly give you the information.
Announcement of Awards
I was recently honored with two awards:
Open Range (plein air field study) won Honorable Mention Award at the Nomadas del Arte show at Southwest Gallery in Dallas, Texas.
Autumn in the Foothills was one of 12 Finalists in the yearlong Raymar Art Competition. I had a few paintings among the 144 monthly finalists (12 for each month). From among those 144, these final 12 winners were chosen.
